Negishio (Green onion and salt sauce) ネギ塩

Negishio is a topping sauce for meat that is commonly used in yakiniku (Japanese bbq).

Ingredients

  • 100 grams Japanese negi (or green onion)
  • 30 grams sesame oil
  • 5 grams apple cider vinegar
  • 15 grams honey
  • 5 grams soy sauce
  • 5 grams salt
  • 2 grams black pepper
  • 5 grams garlic

Instructions

  • Mince the negi or green onion and add to a medium bowl.
  • Grate the garlic using a microplane or use a garlic press to make it into a paste. Add to the bowl.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients: sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Enjoy on top of meat, we recommend thin sliced beef or deep fried chicken!
